Hello all, I bought a used Ibanez SRH505F fretless bass recently, and I'm wondering if anyone can identify these flatwound strings. I have very little experience with flats.

I figured they probably weren't the factory strings, which I believe would be D'Addario.
DR legends indeed. Some of the worst strings I’ve ever played. Dead and lifeless out of the box and not smooth to the touch, in my experience. Shockingly bad strings from a company that makes fantastic rounds.
Yes, I do not like them at all. They're very dead-sounding and there's a lot of buzzing along the fingerboard. I'll have to investigate a bit and figure out what strings to put on this quite beautiful instrument.

TI Jazz Flats will make that bass sing like no other strings. I've got the 4-string version and I've tried lots of different string on it. The TIs are in a class of their own on that bass. The stock D'Addario Chromes were the worst, absolutely HORRIBLE, way too stiff to get a lively tone from the piezo IMO. I'm not a big fan of D'Addario Chromes in general but on that particular bass they were truly awful.
