Help identifying this bass?

I got this bass a few years ago at GC and cannot find one like it for sale anywhere. All I know is that it is an Ibanez (What is GIO?). I defretted it and will post pictures of the final result. Any help identifying/does anyone have this model? Closest model: GAX50 Guitar.
Sorry for poor quality.
Right: Current defrettal process.

if you could post some better photos of the wood, me or someone here at TB could probably tell you which wood is it.
but, judging by what i saw, it is probably some cheaper wood. all the brown streaks could be fungal in origin. i can't tell that for certain without better photos. and the fact that it was painted in black suggest that the manufacturer knew about this defect, so they painted it black so that they can sell it anyway. they do taht always when wood is not top grade. advice is that when you're buying a guitar, you should always go for the one with natural or some other kind of see-thru finish. this way they can't sell you some crappy wood.
