help me, 2ohm?? 4ohm?? 8ohm?? AAH!

alright heres the deal.
how do ohms work? haha
i am looking to get a kustom 1200 head,
and two 4x10 4ohm cabs.
the head runs at 1200watts@2 ohms
does that mean i can run two 4ohm 4x10s at
600watts each?
im really confused. help me out!!!!!

I own that head and let me be the first to tell you that it can get very loud if you want it to.
