Help Me build my Rack!!

Now, for keeping your rig clean. Go to Home Depot, and get some plastic strip ties, some colored Velcro cable ties, and those sticky-pad strip tie anchors:

You get a package of these, and use them anywhere your cables would bounce around or hang in the way.

The best technique, is to run your cables sideways from your jacks, to the sides of the rack, down to the next component, then over to the next jack. Create C-shaped runs. If you want, you can do it all with velcro ties instead of plastic strip ties so you can undo it without needing wire cutters to cut the plastic ties. It kinda depends on your rack, and how permanently you wanna fix your wiring.

Remember, don't fix down your cables so snug that you can't pull the jack in case of an emergency. And don't put any side-load on your jacks and plugs because you tightened the cables up.

Also, a dark rack sucks when stage lights are off.
They are the doohickeys I referred to before.

The rest was pretty good info too.

Special thanks to all you guys for helping me with your thoughts and tips. Here's a pic to show you close to final product.. I would show ya'll the inside of it, but it's kind of a mess because I'm still getting new stuff and having to use excessively long cables(But I am using the cable ties and the cable tie holder thingies=amazing.. Thanks so much again!!) I'll get one of the inside up later..
