Help Me Choose A New PG For My Pbass

OK fellow TB'ers. Help me decide what PG to put on my 08 American Standard Black-N-Maple P bass.

The stock white PG is OK but just has a little too much contrast for me. I've got some ideas but I'm open to suggestions.

On the poll, if you choose other, let me know in a reply what you think would look good.

You can't go wrong with red tort. Thats what I have on my black and rosewood jazz. I plan on getting a maple black blocked and bound neck for it soon. Then it will be like yours.

I'm on the "others" side. I think 3-ply black pickguard would be nice. Or I'd buy a 3-ply black pearloid pickguard material from basspartsresource and go to my luthier (Because I believe that I'm not talented enough to cut it according to its certain dimensions).

NOT black! The point of a pickguard is to contrast with the body! Not to make it look monochrome!

b/w/b - the thin stripe of white provides subtle enough contrast. with rosewood, no way, but with maple, you must!
