Help me choose an inexpensive class D head

I got my PF500 for less than 4 bills on eBay as a new factory second, works great! Like others have said, crank the gain for more grit, and also start with all the EQ dimed and then pull back whatever is too hot.
It's not an SVT or even an SVT PRO but you can't put one of those in the pocket of your gig bag. Aux in and headphone out make it my practice amp too.

For your budget I'd pick up a used Rumble 500 head for $200 and a fDeck HPF for $100. It will cover a lot of territory and sound good.

The Peavey mini max is a great little amp with a lot of power and the fan talk, yeah its loud when its silent...but at a gig...I've never heard it run...cept when I plug it in and turn it on standing over it...so the fan is really a non issue unless you want to record with it...which is unlikely..
