Help me choose cabs

I suggest the 410HE. The GS series is known to be mid scooped and you will need a decent midrange presence to be heard in a metal band. The 410he is not going to do too well with low end, but it will give you a darn good tone overall. Is the cab for monitoring purposes only? The 410he would be a great choice for that. Also, you don't need a bunch of low end in a live setting. It does not help you hear your bass any better. Count on the PA subwoofers to rattle the stage and give you that effect.

Tough question. The two cabs may both be good for your application. I have owned both cabs you are considering. I really prefer 12's, but sold the Aguilar because I now use 2 112 cabs. The Ampeg 410 kicks, but for a 5 string, the HLF may be a better choice. If I had to choose, I would buy the Aguilar.
