Oh, I see. I still think it's worth the effort to learn it, but I put a vote in for #2. Enigma is easy to use, but hard to dial in. There are tons of sounds inside it, though. Patience and a keen use of the sensitivity knob is key.

Good luck and enjoy your spoils.

Alright, cool. Since the Echo Park is getting such a bad rap from the TBers I think I might just get an MXR delay and a strap. Thoughts?

The Echo Park sounds pretty good from what I've heard, but that Tone Core housing is just the cheapest old thing ever. That's why I don't recommend it. A lot of people like the Carbon Copy. I've never tried it.

Bear in mind you don't get tap tempo with the carbon copy (well, because it's analogue). The Line 6 Tonecore boxes might be a bit ropey but on the plus side you can tap tempo with the main bypass footswitch, which keeps it nice and compact. They weigh a ton though.

reconsider buying used... it's the best way when it comes to effects imo! it can potentially save you a ton of money when you realize you don't need what you bought :P

i voted for DL4 - had the echo park and it does feel like crap (it sounds good though) :)

i also had the BMS (the old reissue) and i would say having a nice OC-2 before what you already got will get you close (but in a different way) + you will have seperate effects...

i see a tuner on the list... if you don't have a tuner yet, you might wanna reconsider everything ;)

It depends on what you're looking for... You can't compare a Delay to a Synth, it's totally a different thing.

If you're wondering what to buy, check out the Line6 M9, you can find second hand ones for less than 300 bucks.
It has all the famous delays by Line6, modullation fx, distorsions, fuzzes, compressors, eq, etc... You name it, the M9 has it.

But if I had to choose from your 2 options, my vote would go to the "EHX MICRO SYNTH", I just love the synth sound :D
