Help Me Decide On A Micro Amp

Screw the micro stuff and get a 700RBII. It's still lighter than the briefcase you drag to work.....if you drag tools to work, it's lighter than any of that stuff. Sounds great, super reliable, time tested good stuff.

Hello again. Well, that is kind of a different topic for another thread. There are MANY amazing sounding relatively small, relatively light cabs out there that are a very nice match to many of these micro heads, depending on the tone and volume output you require.

The next question on another topic is gonna be cab choice..ugh. I see alot of people using the Berg ae112 or the EA 12' wizzo as cab choices for the f-500, is it really that much different then just getting those gk neo cabs.

The GK Neo112-II is going to be somewhat close to the AE112, though it is a bit bigger/deeper sounding, and not as pronounced in the upper mids. The Berg is a tad more refined, as well, though the GK is no slouch. The Wizzy ("original" or M-Line) is going to sound quite different, though. The Wizzy lineup (especially the 12's) feature a more "vintage with clarity" kind of tone. They do not go as high (no tweeter), and have more warmth to the midrange. The M-line is a bit less mid-focused and goes a good bit deeper than the "regular" Wizzy.

The GK Neo112-II has just been blowing my socks off, and IME/IMHO is one of the best bang for the bucks out there in cabland.

With all things considered, and depending on the amount of doe you want to spend. I believe the Markbass LMIII is one of the best "bang for your buck" deals out there. I can always get a great tone out of it using any cab. I'm a tube head fan and actually prefer it's tone to my VB2. It's super warm sounding for an SS head, but is clean.
