help me decide! please

I am a new guy to bass. My dilemma: I love the Fender tone. I have a Rumble 150 head, powering a BXR 210 8 ohm. I like being able to take the head and the 210 places easily and still have adequate power delivery and tone. I want/have the opportunity to add a matching BXR 115 8 ohm for $100, or sell my 210 and get a 4 ohm Fender Spectrum (2x10, 1x18) for $150. I like the option of separating the 210 and 115 for portability, but the spectrum is awesome, and has a big old 18". What of these options would you choose and why?

Option A: add the bxr 115 to the 210
option B: sell the 210 and get the spectrum cab

(telling me to sell it all and get an ampeg is not an option, but thanks for it anyhow, lol)

Thanks for the time and the input. appreciated!

is the 18" a nicer option to play through than a 15"?

I don't really think so, and certainly not nowadays. Notice just how many 18" bass cabs are available. SWR's 'Big Ben' was the last I recall.

Option 'A' is looking better:
1) cost -> the 115 cab is $100 vs $150
2) less hassel as you don't have to sell your 210 cab Didn't you also upgrade the woofs in this cab to Eminance BP102 Legends?
3) Flexability

just as long as the 115 is in very good condition and the woofer sounds good with no issues.

* You need to audition this at stage volume by itself to be sure of sound quality *

A 4ohm cab is going to be limiting sooner or later. Add the 15 to what you've got.

Search around here and you'll many folks, including myself, saying it's better, or at least more predictable to use all the same model of speaker and not mix and match. That said, the sky won't fall, 2 cabs will still sound bigger/louder than one, and for a $100 add-on, you'll have enough rig to cover just about any gig..
