After throwing 2 bass's one active on passive and a new amp in my cart. I have a decision to make, and I have changed my mind more time in a few hours than I have all week on what bass or amp to go with. So please tell me what you think will work best.
I need a little distoration or fuzz got it narrowed down between two.
MXR M-80 Bass Direct Box with Distortion
or
MXR M84 Bass Fuzz Deluxe
I'll be running them through a Ampeg PF-350 and the PF115HE as well as a 210 cab(Either a Hartke XL, or Peavey Headliner Im not taking nothing for granted going to test them both before heading to the consignment shop). Based on You Tube video's, I prefer the Fuzz. However, if I was running this through my Hartke HA2500 Id go with the DI cos it needed something extra. In my band, it was suggest I try to get a little more of a guitar tone while the other guy goes into his solo's. With that said I think the fuzz fits better, for our sound. Smart thing to do would be wait, but if its not ordered before I go to the consignment shop, and they still have the Fretless Jazz, I'll be stuck with my noisy Boss ODB-1.
