As for a BFM Jack15, you'd likely never need a second cab. The tone profile is a bit different, although the 15 looks the smoothest of the bunch, and the benefits of horn-loading makes it just plain LOUD. You'd find your amp idling along, barely having to work for the small gigs you describe. At larger gigs, people will be wondering how in the hell all that sound is coming out of one box. Horn loading also filters out a lot of distortion. Not distortion as an effect, but the distortion we've all come to expect as part of the sound created by "regular" speakers.

Is there anyone who has both or has tried both that can say why they like one or the other? ::::BASSIST::::'s clips certainly make fEARful look good about now.
It seems that I can build a Jack 12 for about half the cost of a fEARful, if I go for the flatpack kits. The Jacks are, however, heavier than the fEARfuls. fEARfuls are flatter, but I don't think the Jacks color the tone so much that it can't be EQd to compensate.
Both look good, so I'm still not sure lol. My cheap bone might win out

I have a stack of two Jack 10s, one with a piezo array. I think it transmits the character of the bass and amp very transparently. I don't have a gig so I can't comment on volume in a band setting but they can get very loud. Horn loading makes the most of that one driver.
The fEarful cabs are less efficient but if you have a large amp that may not be a concern. The Jacks are a little bit more complicated to build since the fEarful is just a ported box, and the fEarful uses two expensive drivers rather than just one.
I think both represent a great investment over buying a large commercial cab.

It's a useful vid as far as it goes, but it also compares two very different cab designs. The fEarful 15/6 would be more fairly compared against the Omni 15 if one wants an extended range medium sensitivity cab.
