I'm looking at a couple options to purchase. The marcus miller signature MIJ Fender jazz, or a Zon standard sonus 4. Anyone have any opinions on either that will help tip the scales? haha

Two very different basses and price points, right? Did they move production of MM sig to Mexico yet? That makes a difference to some, but not to me because I believe MIM quality is up.
I also believe the term you used to describe basses made in Japan left the vernacular here years ago. Are you a WWII holdout?

Price point is pretty much the same, 1200 list, the Zon standards are made in korea, all wood necks.
