Help me find a bass

I’m new to bass from guitar and looking for a good bass with a ~$500 price rage styled similar to a thunderbird. I’m not sure where to start looking so does anybody have any recommendations?

Epiphone thunderbird fits that description, though ergonomically not the most user-friendly design out there.

Jackson Kelly is sorta Tbird-ish

Schecter and Fernandez both have similarly shaped basses that are in that range used.

Glarry and Harley Benton (both inexpensive budget brands) also have basses similar to the Tbird.

I played a Tbird once, and while it sounded great, played great, could not deal with how awkward it was to wear.
