Since the Yamaha TBX174 matches all your criteria except it's too cheap,
you can always get it and tip your salesman the amount that brings the price up to $700.

I scrutinized the current Ibanez line-up and must admit this particular one caught my eye in its Antique Brown Stained finish. At least it's prettier than my turd-brown SRC6.

Ibanez is the reverse P king though. I'd look into the SR650. I can't remember if that one is reversed or not, but it's a great bass.
all in all though, I'd say fender deluxe P, Aerodyne J, or Yamaha BB
