Those look like an older version of MTD Stainless Steels, which used to be made by Dean Markley. How old would the ones on that bass be?

these strings don’t seem old. They still have a little snap. However, I’ve played flats for almost the past decade. I’m just now getting back to rounds…so my perspective on rounds that still have snap is def skewed.

I ask about the age of the strings because they USED TO be made by Dean Markley when they had their own string-winding factory, which, as I understand it, was taken over by another company. I'm not sure who looks after the MTD brand now.
