Help me identifying these...

I've bought a second hand Fender Jazz bass S/N from 2001 and I've notice that the last owner replaced the stock pickups. Now this bass has the ones you see in the foto, but I can't see any reference and don't know them. The bass sounds good, that's why I'd like to know which pickups are.

Can you help me identifying them?

Single coil J pups with black covers could be one of many. Without any distinct markings it's hard to know. Sorry, not much help. I know your curious as to the make so down the road if you ever want to use on another bass, it would be nice to know. On the other hand, some of life's greatest things are still a mystery.

thanks anyway. Yes, perhaps I'd put one of these in other of my basses...it really sounds good in a jazz.

you can try pulling one, and see if it is sealed. if it's not sealed, you could then pull the cover and see if there are some markings on the bobbin. it does have staggered poles...

I did that already, can´t find any markings in the coil nor on the plastics. Thats why it is so strange. It seems they were handmade...

The pickup poles seem over sized which makes me think delano. but they look smaller then delanos... and they will say delano on the lower right side of the pickup. I havent seen j bass pickups like that.

yes, that was also my first thought. But they are thinner than Delano ones.
