I don't want to hijack the thread, but I thought it was best to have batteries in your pedals even if you run power supplies because it improves the overall operation of the pedal?

I don't want to hijack the thread, but I thought it was best to have batteries in your pedals even if you run power supplies because it improves the overall operation of the pedal?
It's my understanding that in most effects circuits, the battery is not operational when there is a DC plug connected. Furthermore, if the battery did work while plugged in, they would drain while not in use and you'd be replacing em all the time.
NO BATTERIES WHEN SHIPPING - It keeps Murphy at bay. Anything can happen during shipping - leakage, shorts, vibration damage. At least pack it separately if you want to get rid of it.
