Help me!!!!

Lots of people LOVE the TC1510 cabinet as it's pretty well rounded. Originally it was paired with the YBA200 tube head. The SB500H is a great small head and combined with the 1510 should be a killer rig. I'd probably offer the C$800.00 to start with, maybe go up to C$900 if they're in good condition since they go for C$1350 RETAIL.

Gear is subjective to what it's being used for. Player > amp > cab > bass all make up a unified system.

Outside of erroneous quality issues, I've never been one to down vote gear or say one is better than the other. OP, only you can determine if that rig is right for you based on your quantified needs.

With all the gear I own, I can make a rig sound really great or really bad based on player design and needs. Price is one thing, but always take opinions with a generous splash of seasoning.

So I was cruising on kijiji today, and found a guy selling a traynor smallblock 500h and a tc1510 cab. The price is 1000 and it usually retails for 1500ish. Should I jump on this for my first gigging rig or is there something else in my 1000 dollar price range that will do better?
that's totally up to you man, as what mite work for me or others doesn't mean it will be a rite fit for you. I recommend a trip to your local music shop try different ones out before buying anything.

Thank you everyone for all the help, it’s much appreciated. I think I’m going to try to find a different cab set up then the tc1510. I was looking at some amps in the same price range like the peavey minimega or a hartke but I’m not too sure as they look too good to be true. The smallblock 500 still seems like a good option and I’ll just buy new as it’s quite cheap. Maybe I’ll go to L and M someday and bring my bass to play through some cabs and amps to find what I want. It’s just that it’s quite out of the way to get there since I live an hour away. I’m still open to other companies as long as I can buy through a Canadian website like L and M or LaMusic, AxeMusic etc. Thanks again :)

You can add Moog Audio in Montreal to your list, I think they have free shipping in Canada.
And Quest Musique out of Winnipeg. Pretty sure they ship through their online store.

I currently own the small block amp and use it for rehearsals and as a back up. It's plenty loud, especially if you paired it with two 1x15 cabs. I use it with one 15" cab for rehearsal.....

I owned the cabinet briefly......it's big and heavy and not easy to move around.

My advice is to try and get a good deal on the head and keep on shopping for cabinets. Good Luck......lots of Traynor love here.
