Help! Need New headphones

Since I travel a lot I mostly practice through my macbook with Logic Pro and hence headphones.

My current ones are Shure SRH440 but they will be dying any moment now.

I am looking for some good headphones (range up to 300 dollars) that are more lightweight that these Shure, since they get uncomfortable after long sessions.

Any help would be great!

Thanks for the input guys, I realized the cable is the issue, since its a "spring" type cable, its fairly heavy and its pulling down my headphones. I am currently looking for a straight cable replacement!

Nice. Looks like it uses a standard 1/8" headphone plug on each end. Easy to find a straight cord like that in any length.

I'm really liking my AKG K240 mkII's they're open, so not as isolated as closed back, but they sound good IMO. Not very expensive and quite comfy

I buy these practically in bulk for my studio:

They're solid, closed back, work well for practicing and tracking, have a detachable cable, and are cheap enough that if you lose them on a plane you can carry on without sweating it. Not flat response, but for your purposes... Who cares?

yeah, no one 'needs' so spend $350 or $500 on a pair of cans. I just bought some of the AKGs mentioned above for others to use in my studio and they're great for $50 - I prefer the Fostex T-50MKIII and have been using T-50s for almost 30 yrs. = $140

all I want in a pair is good bass response and comfort
