Help needed building Jazz Bass

Hey ya'll! I'm an amateur luthier based in the Southeast. I've built a Tele before, but I'm planning to build a jazz bass next! I have found body plans, but not a neck + headstock file to go with the neck pocket in my plans. I could really use some help finding these plans. I plan to mess with them in Inkscape before laser cutting a router template. Also, great (mid-range price-wise) hardware/luthier tool suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Here are a few resource PDFs that may be of some value. The "neck 2 drawing' is a 51 P bass, but the details may be of some value for neck construction.

Also, great (mid-range price-wise) hardware/luthier tool suggestions

Welcome to Talkbass. I'm not pro (only a couple scratch builds, and a bunch of parts basses, mods etc.) I like Philadelphia Luthier Tools & Supplies for tools and such. Prices are reasonable with fairly quick shipping. Stewart MacDonald (Stewmac) is great, but very expensive. For parts, I've bought from Allparts, Best Bass Gear and Bitterroot. Personally I like to buy used hardware/pickups/preamps etc. in the classifieds here on TB. Have got some great deals on nice stuff.

Here's links, hope that helps some.

I'm a useless hack as a woodworker, but another great source for parts, especially in the SE, is WD Music. They're based in Florida, ship quickly, have plenty of goodies to look through, and offer a bunch of custom pickguard options as well, if that's of any interest:

Good luck with the build!

I'm still having trouble finding neck drawings. It seems like everybody has the same files: J/P bass body plans, and a certain '51 p-bass neck drawing. However, the '51 p-bass neck has a square heel that doesn't fit with newer style bodies. It would be amazing if anybody has newer p-bass or jazz neck drawings lying around with the more curved heel.
