Help Possible Purchase

Should be pretty nice. Kind of "modern" sounding for lack of a better word. I don't know that I've ever played a 600, but the 800s from that era that I have played have been really nice. Not sure on the wood. Probably basswood, maybe alder. Pickups were Ibanez house brand IIRC except for the higher end models that had EMG actives (although these could be budget EMGs, I can't read the covers). For the current price or a bit more, it is alot of bang for the buck.

Thanks for the info BassoP
Anyone else care to chime in I am trying to get all the info possible to help make an informed decision. Also what is basswoods characteristics in sound.

Off to swimming lessons I'll check back latter.

Much Thanks

You buy it? I see it has ended.

Invalid Link Removed Can tell you about wood differences, but again, I can't promise what that is made of. Just guessing basswood. Ultimately, tone is the sum of its parts.
