We said goodbye to Dash last Saturday. I’m still heartbroken. :(

So sorry to hear about the loss of your pup … Dash looked like a good one 💔

Thank you…he was my bestest boi, and I was his person. View attachment 7490000

Going forward, all of my builds will be functional works of art. I feel very strongly that Morrell Roberts is an artist, and I’m grateful to have him a collaborator and co-conspirator.

Oh man, you’ve about got me. If I can ever get done with what I’m working on I’ve got another body that I’ve been thinking about doing up in the Gulf Racing livery.

I’m going to focus on graphic finishes exclusively for my bodies going forward. The first series will feature racing-inspired colorwways. The black body will get an offset white stripe with gold trim (Racing Black), and the red body will get an offset white stripe with black trim (Racing Red). These will be offered in addition to the Racing Blue and Racing Green colorways shown previously.

Along with my 8-string and 10-string bridges, I’m having pickup rings and control plates manufactured in Korea by BooHeung. My goal is to offer the pieces to other builders and DIY guys. It helps to have a router template. Mike Breedlove of MGB Guitars laser cut these for me. That’s another piece of the puzzle I’m trying to solve. :)

Exciting news! I bought out the remaining stock of the Lowe Custom Guitars/Allparts JRF-RM-CONV necks and I am letting them go at a substantial discount. This is the best value ever offered in a 32” scale conversion neck. When they’re gone, they’re gone!

…and one of my Gordo Duo pickups! ;-)

Yes, @slowburnaz, thanks for pointing that out! The talent and collaboration that has developed from this forum is truly amazing!

Brad,
I was looking at your used bodies and 8-string necks. Are they compatible with each other? Of course I would need a different bridge. Thinking about this.🙂

My 4-string and 8-string necks are compatible with vintage-spec bodies (P&J-Type) with 2 1/2” neck pockets. My 5-string necks are compatible with the “5-string MIM” spec. The 8-string bridge is a drop-in replacement for a vintage 5-screw P&J-Type bridge. :)
