Help removing ibanez natural flat finish?

Hello all,

I'm looking to refinish an ibanez btb single cut that I recently purchased. The rosewood top has white marks in the grain from the urethane they use, and it bugs the perfectionist in me. I've stripped body's down to bare wood before with air craft stripper, as well as used the sanding technique before. I'm just seeing opinions on which technique would work best for this thinner finish, and also getting the poly out of the grain. I'm looking to do an oil and wax finish.

Thanks for any advice.
