Help suggesting Flats for a Fender Roscoe Beck V

Thanks in advance for the advice. I will have 2 Roscoe Beck V's and want to make one a roundwound and one setup with flats. I have only used Fender 9050 medium light flats and found them to sound great but be too stiff to get around on quickly. They were on a P bass 4 string. Seems as if the threads on strings point to TI or LaBella Deep Talking Flats (in the lighter gauge) as the lower tension choices. I play R&B and Blues and tend to play faster passages that often require that I dig-in (octave patterns). So I'm concerned about tension being too light or too heavy!

DR Strings Flatbeam flatwounds FLB 45-105.

They ring and sound excellent on my 77 P-Bass.

I have Rotosounds on both my electric and acoustic and they dont have too much tension i can get around quick on them and yet they stil give me plenty of bend or pluck away when i ask for it. .45-.105 gauge

When I want the flatwound tone I use Thomastik-Infeld Jazz flats. They're the only flats I've tried on it, but they sound killer IMO.

Roto flats are supposed to be even higher tension than the fenders!

On hisher guages, yes, like the Steve Harris ones. Dunno about regular guages though.
