Help! Want/need another bass rig

Just stumbled upon this…as I thought this could be a nice instrumental for the little Florida band I’m in. Can anyone help me focus on getting a different bass rig than what I’m currently using? I love the sound/tone Tom is getting in this awesome vid-tutorial! Need to keep it on the mid/smaller side…no more lugging a 4x10. Downsized to a Genz•Benz 1x10 Shuttle 3.0 (175w/8 ohm/ 300w/4 ohm) & found I needed more on stage w/ drummer & 2 guitarists. Added an extension 1x10 Trace Elliot. That helped but I’m pushing the amp capacity w/ an old passive P-Bass w/ half-rounds. Hoping to get amp (combo or head + cab) recommend/
suggestions to get more head-room & the sweet tone Tom gets here. Thanks, Brian

Wow... 3/4 of TB would say that (or less) would be enough for most anything!

Sorry, my only advice is to listen to suggestions here, then double it.

Unless the 2 cabs don't "play" well together.....?
I think it'd be the cabs that are possibly the limiting factor.... I mean, that's just 2x10s.

Depends what space you have to fill and the line up of the band.
If a gtr is running a half stack, and the drummer building a shed then that points in a certain direction.

But well tuned kit, acoustic, and a small 40w combo can be quite formidable.

I'd get 500w in cab.
Either 2 x 210 or 2x112 which is capable of being an easy carry running down to 4ohms.
Separates are better for carry, ime.

I'd call your current rig a 'jazz rig' or fit for practice under very controlled levels.

A lot depends on the styles of the 2 gtrs. A lot.
