HELP! WHICH USED AMP DO I BUY?

Hi guys,

I'm new to bass guitar, and my local music shop has two second hand bass combo amps for sale. Which of these is a better amp?! I hope to be playing small gigs with my band soon...

1) Trace Elliot 715SMC 150W 115 Combo Amp

2) MARSHALL 5520 160W 1x15 (part of the JCM800 series)

I need to make a decision pretty soon - any ideas? Lola

No experience with either, but you might wanna try them before you buy them.

Trace. All the way. Better build quality, built in compressor and they're usually louder than what they're rated for.

I've played the Trace - VERY heavy but sounds OK!

id go trace, that marshalls date pf production was 84-88.

Trace Elliot's amps kick ass! They get WAY loud, plus they have a good EQ section (that can be bypassed)
