Help with a new " budget " bass amp ?

Hello Tbers, I'm new to talk bass but I've been playing bass and many other instruments since i was much younger , in my current state I can't afford a pricey , but flawless and worth it bass amp , I was wondering what would be good in around the 500 to 1000 ( more or less ) range , I'm looking for heads but open to combos

There's a few options available. Go to somewhere like sweetwater.com, put in your budget and see what comes up.

For 1000 dollars you can get pro level gear on the used market all day. Hell, you can find Ampeg 810's for 400-600 all day. Same can be said for a GK, Ampeg, or Fender head in the 400 to 800 watt range.

If it has to be new, the combos stated above will fit the bill as well.

You have not filled out you profile so we don’t know where you live. If it’s the Americas take a look at Carvin.com. Good gear at a reasonable price.

You can afford a nice Fender Bassman tube head, or an Ampeg V4 tube head. Both are killer amps check them out.

The TH500 is strongly voiced. You should make sure you like it before you buy one.

Thanks for the heads up, tested a TH 500 out I absolutely loved it, a top priority on the buy list when I have work sorted ,

To what end do you want to put this rig? Just playing at home? Jamming with friends? Bar band? Jukebox hero? Arena stage?

Def go used if you want get more for your budget. If you like the tone hammer consider other vintage voiced or straight up vintage amps.

I plan on using the rig for all of the above haha, I will certainly look out for some similar heads to the TH
