First of all I want to say 'sorry about my poor English', but I'm on the way to learning it....so....I want to try it out without google translator. I'm in Spain, just in Girona (ei! Costa Brava is great!!!)
A year ago, I buy and old 82's musician bass which was modified the wiring and remove the original electronics. The last owner put inside a Eq System form a French Luthier, and put inside a 5 string Bartolini pickups!! Yes, sturdy!! I need to find the way to fill the spare space they did to put inside the bridge pickup....horrible spacing to fill. Maybe I will try to put another P5S or a RB924 bridge pickup....but not now.
Well, in the way to put on the original way, I send some message to some people to do the pub with the components. I used the info and the pictures of one of those fantastic threads I founded here (thank you!!). It seems I finally found anyone who wants to do the job. He asked me about 100€, not too much.
In the other hand, I want to revive the bass and use it. The last owner send me the original pickups, and I want to put in. Just I don't have the eq system, I must be sound only in passive mode. BUT HERE I NEED YOUR HELP.
I can't find any wiring color to understand which wire I must to connect to pots. The neck pickup (p bass) has 4 wires, 2 red and 2 black ones. The red ones are solder together, and the black ones are on their way, alone.
I need to know which wire is on every doubled P pickup on the MC924 and how I must to connect it to the pots just to sound in PASSIVE mode.
I hope you have all the info I need. Sure it is so easy, but all I can reach out of this bass will be Wellcome.
