The pictured bass is at a local shop, and I am trying to id it. Despite the shape, the body is actually solid and quite thin, and the headstock appears much like an early Univox, but the plastic name badge is missing. Yes, the bridge is wrong, and it is missing the cover, yes the knobs are replacements and the thumbrest is missing. Yet, it plays very well, sounds good, and looks insane. I cannot find any reference to a bass this shape in any Univox sources online.
Any thoughts/ideas as to what this is?
