Help with LH500 eq

I read something similar in Bass Gear Magazine. They do a huge article/review on the LH1000. You can access it online. I just got a LH500 and am loving it so far. In fact it will gig with me instead of my Markbass F1 next time out. I like the plug and play aspects and the fat, clean tubey tone. It sounds fantastic with my P-bass and warms up my EMG equipt Steinberger nicely. Check out the review, they do a great job.

How does the Sansamp VT work out with this head?

ive had my lh500 for about 6 months now and have loved it, so many good tones. when teamed with my hoppus P bass it gets the lightest bit of grit, exactly what i was lookin for.

how does it work with the VT bass??? been thinkin about gettin one to put in front of the LH.

Read The bass gear Magazine review and here's the info:

Larry Hartke's EQ Flat: Bass-2.4, Mid-10, Treble-0

Reviewer's favorite: B-4 M-8 T-4

The testor's optimum flat: B-2 M-10 T-0

Fender tone stack: B-0 M-10 T-0 OR B-2 M-10 T-2

I think I'm gonna order this one tomorrow.....

Regards,

Mike

Well, I got the LH500 today. LOVE IT !!

Ran it through my Carvin BRX10.2NEO 4 ohm. Very loud amp.

I experimented with EQ and found B 2 Mid 10 T 2 my favorite.

With those settings, if you moved the bass or treble up a few notches, not too much effect. But moving the mid from 10 to, say 6, made a big difference. Need to experiment a little

Bottom line 2-10-2 works for me.

I know this is a really old thread, but I am seriously contemplating the purchase of an LH500 or LH1000. Of course I'll go for the 30 lb monster if I can get the right deal, but I think I would be happy with the 500 too. And I just wanted to say thanks to the posters in this thread. It will be nice to have this info when I get this head.
