Double Bass Help with string, fingerboard, body noise, etc.

Howdy y’all,
I’m looking to cut back string and body noise through my signal. I currently use a Vic’s Pickups single bridge wing pickup (Model C I think), and I put that through an HPF Pre then into a Donner Noise Killer which seems to help a little bit, but not a super noticeable amount. Any tips/tricks/hacks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Just to be clear, are we talking mostly about technique noise? That is, as opposed to string buzz, rattles, etc., things that are related to maintenance issues?

Also for reference, if your Vic's is a single wing pickup, it's most likely a Model B. The Model C has both a wing pickup and a fingerboard pickup.

I'm using an onboard K&K Dual Channel Pro ST pre-amp with my Vic's Model C... The K&K includes bass, mid, treble and gain settings inside the box and volume controls outside the box, and it helps... Although to be fair, just about all of my amped noise problems are with my technique, and I'm working on reducing those. Amp'ing a double bass makes everything more clear, including technique problems.
