Help with tuner swap

Hey all.

I'm interested in swapping out my tuners in order to get a better balance on my bass...but I have no idea what I'm doing and how to be sure what fits.

Attached is the picture of the japanese made neck and stock tuners. I think I've given up on finding a drop in replacement that is light weight - although feel free to correct me if wrong!!

This leave me focused on the Gotoh and possibly Hipshot light weight options. I'm particularly interested in the GB640 as I like the look and they should be a total of around 100 grams lighter than the stock. But, I have no idea if they fit...and don't have a way to measure the holes in the headstock to the mm.

Anyone have any ideas?

Step one is to take a tuner out and measure the diameter of the hole it’s in. You won’t get anywhere until you have that info.

you can get a good enough set of calipers for $20 or so at your Home Depot. That’s far cheaper than the mistake of buying the wrong set of tuners.
