I have narrowed my choice down to two models. But, they are totally different animals.
1. Corvette $$ NT (natural Ash)
Very light and well balanced, sounds killer!
2. Warwick Alien
Best ABG I have ever played. I've always wanted one, too.

I already have MIA fretted and fretless jazz basses.
I live in Shanghai now, and the only available (decent) choices for basses are Fender and Warwick. Shipping is not an option because the government charges a 36% import tax. I make my living playing bass. Oh, mostly Jazz and a little pop/latin. But I write more rock/electronic/fusion sort of stuff.

Anyway, some opinions would be very helpful.
The local Warwick rep is a friend of mine, so the price will be very nice!

thanks

The $$ is nice and has a great tone, especially soloing the back pu. Also, the Alien is 32" scale. But, the medium scale is very comfortable. I just wonder if the $$ is a little too much like my other jbasses.
I saw J. Hellborg play the other day and really liked the tone. I guess that's why I'm gasin" so bad for a ABG.
