Double Bass Help!

Hi all,
I'm new to this and in a little while I will be new to the double bass -30 years a bass player and turning 50.
I am looking at adding a pickup and am thinking of the Gewa DB-1 - this is sold by the shop that I am buying my DB from.. I have read on the Golihur site that the KNA DB-1 is a recommended DB pickup.
Reading about both, the image and description is the same. Is the Gewa and the KNA the same product wrapped up differently?

The KNA is easily taken out, a bit finicky to fit, but once you find the right tension and fit in the bridge slot it’s easily repeatable. I had the best success on the treble side, as per manufacturer, which took me a second to really believe.

The full circle is on your bridge full time, and does add some resonance killing weight which the hard core don’t appreciate. It’s fit needs to be quite good along the surface as well for optimal results. They are known to be a bit fragile if the bridge gets bumped—but Fishman’s repair program is really decent ($50 and shipping).

I own both, and use the full circle because I have a travel bass and I don’t want one more thing to set up every day on the road. I found the KNA to sound quite natural, maybe a bit more so than the FC. Although tonally, I think they’re similar in response.

For the money, the KNA is hard to beat, especially as a backup like I’m using it. The FC is definitely in use and liked by many, but if money isn’t as big an obstacle...if I had to start from scratch, I’d be looking hard at the Yamahiko. Those that have it say fairly confidently that it beats out the FC in terms of tone and reliability.

Not agree! I have both and the FC beats the KNA, especially at higher volumes. For the price, the KNA is a decent deal.
