Double Bass Henriksen Jazz Amp 12 vs. GK MB150

I own a GK MB150S and briefly tried out a JazzAmp 12 awhile back. The JA seemed nice enough and struck me as kinda like an upgraded Polytone. It didn't make me want to get one though, and I didn't see any advantage over the GK MB150.
I tried the henriksen and my GK combo together, Gage pickup directly in the amp.
The Henriksen was ok (it reminded me the Polytone but a little brighter) but i stay with the Gallien that in my opinion sounds more warm and full .
A question: what you recommend as an extension for the GK combo (i tried the MBX112 but i would like something punchier)
