Hmmm. That’s a bit of a tough one - my demos are done with pre-recorded bass tracks which are then reamped and fed through the preamps. Truth be told, as ridiculous as it sounds, I haven’t played through all of them ‘live’. A couple that do stand out though are the SWR Grand Prix, Sushi Box Mayday, and Broughton Audio Messenger v1. Aguilar AG gets a special mention as a (relatively) cheap and accessible option that has great feel. There are probably others that I’m forgetting - though I’ve only released ~40 videos so far, I’ve tested over 100 different preamps at this stage so some are bound to fall through the cracks.
