Not into the Minotaur? I was thinking about checking that guy out. Maybe you've saved me the trouble!!
Justin, what's the switch on the Geddy bass, please?
I bought a Voyager, does the same sound.
Justin...why the Geddy Leed??? Why???
I have two. They are identical.
What was the kill switch for?
If the P/J Jaguar ever comes up, just don't tell me. It's one of the few basses that I would sell the Wal to acquire!
I won't sell that beast don't worry.
Kill switch is for turning the sound on and off. Just like any kill switch.
Good man! I think I'd be the first person to talk you out of it if you ever tried. That bass is one of the cooler instruments I've seen in the past decade or so.
Is that the same Geddy Lee you recorded Hurry Up, We're Dreaming with? Awesome lot of gear there.
Yes, I used that bass on a song called "OK Pal". But largely it was the one used on tour with NIN.
Ah, I always thought it may have been a series/parallel switch when I first noticed it.
I was kind kind of wondering how you used it... For some stutter effect like Tom M or to keep the single coil pickups quiet when a bunch of fuzz is in line, etc... I guessed it was for turning the sound on and off. :^P
ah, right. For me, I'd use it for the occasional stutter noise blast. But mainly, just as a kill switch as I walked around the stage away from my tuner/mute, for silencing the bass within sections of a song in which I am not playing.
Dang, almost asked my wife for permission to snag that Hofner Verythin, then I noticed it was a guitar I do play guitar but don't gig on it enough for her to let me get it.
Yes, I am a whipped dog
That Jaguar bass is beautiful! I'm sure you'll clear house soon.
Let me understand somethng Mr. JMJ- you want us to pay a $2000 premium on a MIJ Geddy Jazz becasue you owned it? Stardom's gone to your head dude!
Think of it this way, you'll help fund whatever artistic and sonically rich project Justin has going on next and in return you'll get this J.M.J. owned Geddy jazz that was used to tour with NIN as a gift.
I'd do it if I had the spare $$, in support of an artist and a bass player I respect.
