Hex key size for bridge screws

What kind of bass is it? They're not all the same. My Ibanez takes a 1.5 mm hex key--I measured it a day or two ago when someone else asked. I think my Carvins take a .050 inch--I didn't actually go measure it, but if you tell me you have a Carvin, I will.

Once you find out what size you need, you can buy it at a hardware store.

If you buy a set, make sure it has the one you need. Cheaper sets don't always have the smallest keys. You can buy individual allen keys too.

Thanks for answering my question Ed, if you didnt make that comment I was really going to buy something I didnt need.

I have a peavey cirrus bxp bass. Thanks for offering to check. All I can say with respect to the bridge model is it is like the ones on ibanez's where each saddle is independent of the others, on a sort of "rail" where the saddle slides.

The peavey website says "finger style" bridge. The most similar bridge that I can think of is the monorail bridge on the ibanez sr prestige models.

My Carvins take a .050 inch hex key. And I have a very cheap set of allen keys which does include that size.

I wouldn't worry too much about buying tools you don't need, though. If you don't need them now, you will some day. Tools are always a good investment.
