Obviously I'm new. I'm not new to forums, though...
I'm not new to instruments either. I haven't been playing bass very long, but I have played guitar and violin also. I played violin all through school (about 10 years) and I finally quit to pursue my harder tastes in music. I chose the bass to play as my main instrument. We'll see how that goes.
I currently play on a bass I borrowed from my cousin. I'm too ashamed to admit what is, though. I have this on layaway at guitar center though:

I play a lot of metal/hardcore and also just plain rock and there wasn't really any other basses that compared to this bass. This one, by sound alone, is definitely hard music oriented. I really couldn't find another bass that came close, and this one looked sweet too...
