I don't know JT...I don't think it's a question of folks not liking live music, I think it's more the traffic and the distance! That, and everyone starts playing past my bedtime!

It's also much easier for me to get our on a Saturday night, since I don't have to get up so early, and I can sleep in the next day. I'm still going to try to make it on Thursday, but I'm kind of stuck with Joe's schedule, he may be heading out to Ellijay to get a building permit, and I don't know when he's going to get back.

Okay I have my ticket! Don't make me be the only one from TB there supporting JT. Buy one of these tickets before this show sells out. Never has Atlanta seen such demand for an artist since Neil Diamonds 1983 tour. Buying a ticket will ensure that you get to yell "Freebird" for the whole hour that JT plays. Plus you don't want to miss out on all the Masquerade freebies, like an ink stamp for your hand. If you ask nicely, they will even stamp BOTH hands. For those you still haven't purchased one of these wonderful tickets, my friend Guido will be visiting you soon to convince you otherwise.

unfortunately, hal our lead singer is suffering from laryngitis - we tried to practice tonight and he couldn't sing at all. we may have to bail on this gig - but not to worry. talkbass's own dave siff and his very excellent band paine's promise will be taking our place, if we bail. more info will come tomorrow.

actually, disregard that last message - we're going to play on thursday, crappy hoarse vocals or not. we need to not ever jerk these guys around or we'll never get a gig there again. that would be bad.

OK, here is a little advice on sore pipes.

1) Rest & fluids - talking to a minimum, singing is out
2) Benedryl and Motrin - will reduce the inflamation
3) Cool mist- a vaporizer close by right up until gig time will help alot.
4) Jazzbo can probably help out with some of that herbal stuff as well. He knows much more about it than I, some of it works really well and fast.
