HEY EVERYONE! NEW THUNDERBIRD PRO'S ARE AVAILIBLE NOW!

The black-stain color looks nice.But......For some reason,man,this sounds crazy,a T-bird just doesn't look right unless it's being played with a pick.I don't know.It's just,when I think T-bird,I think of someone grinding away with a pick.Looks out of place being played w/the fingers.IMHO.

i agree.they don't feel right playing it with fingers either.if im sitting down, playing my bird w/fingers it just constantly clicks..it's absolutly NOT for fingers.some people can pull it off i'm sure(entwistle, and some people on here i'm sure.)but i can't really

I've done it before, it's not bad. It was unplugged though.

I've also heard a guy on youtube slap one

i just ordered :)

My local Mom and Pop got one of each color in stock in both the 4 and 5 string models i was excited until i pulled one down off the wall, and you could actually see the glue in the joint that are holding the wings on to the the neck-though stringers on the natural models....looked like some third grader used way too much glue on a science project (on both the 4 and 5 string model)

makes me wonder about the first batch!

and perhaps the general construction process....looking closer you could also see the glue in the staind models as well

for 500.00 bucks i expected better

i dig these bass finishes the natural type looking one looks nice with those strips/stripes down the middle make it nicer....i just traded a hohner professional 5 string bass for an epiphone gothic 4 string bass which had a nice flat black finish on it.

I have two '76 Gibson Thunderbirds and you can see the glue on them too. So these are very authentic!!!!!! :D

My local music store has the Pros in. I played the natural finish 4 string, felt good, but unfinished. Meaning it felt like a work in progress. I will go back and try the others, but for now I will stick with my Gibson IV and Studio basses.

BTW, they have a 5 string hanging on the wall next to a Gibson T-bird IV, and MAN that neck on that 5 string Pro bass looks WIDE WIDE WIDE!!!

I dont know many people that use these. My friend has one and Nikki Sixx uses his sig goth one. Thats about all I know for these.

And to second my buddy John.........

You can call me Veronica, I have 10 Thunderbirds.......

Now you know three :D

Im excited about it but I'm not hearing many good things from people who have played them. Oh well, as someone else said, this is just the first batch so by the time I scrape up the Benjamins, maybe they'll be of better quality.
