Old school looks all in the finish Jimmy. There got to be a source for the blue checkered vinyl looking stuff and proper grillcloth. May want to add a strip of 1/4" around the face of the cab so it looks like it's made of 3/4" material and the old style corner hardware will fit properly. There's pics either on TB or BillF's site of a guy who finished an O15 to look like a mid-70's or newer ampeg cab complete with the white piping.

I think I saw that cab on here. Looked pretty sharp as I recall. And there are a few sources for that style tolex and grillcloth, so that's no problem. Can't decide if I want blue checker or late 70's tolex and grillcloth so it matches up with my 77 B-15N. OTOH, it will be quite a while before I can get one...wives, ya know?

Yeah it is! But I must have missed that option on your site, didn't see any mention of it myself anyway, more pics on the site in general would be awesome but it's understandable that you have more important things to do with your time then develop your website as you say so yourself in the F.A.Q.. Would like to have a look at the vintage though, seems kinda cool, if it had a mid driver then I'd be kinda interested if I didn't already have the Berg, I know they're full range 15s but I tit around all over the stage and the upper end dispersion I get with the Berg is really good for that. A 2 Big one stack would be more then dominating enough for even myself though

Just realised after geeking about on your site that you probably don't have alot pictures cos alot of your cabs haven't even been produced yet...

I keep forgetting to mention it on the site but any cab can be had with the 'vintage-look' at extra cost. Got a couple of vintage-look Compacts going out today to sit under a Mesa 400+.

There's more stuff over on the forum as that's easier to update! I don't see much point putting a mid driver on the Vintage as those two fifteens are so strong into the mids that most mid drivers will struggle to add much where you really want it in an old school oriented cab. Plus the woofer in the Big One can move almost as much air as the pair in the Vintage and more air than the unported pair in the NV215, so if you want good off-axis response and huge lows the Big One is the cab to go for.

First of the Vintages will be done in the next week or so, then the first Midget shortly after, and photos will follow.

Ah that's fair enough, I take it the vintage cabs mids are very much orientated to be quite rich in the low to mid mids and not too much higher anyway, so beaming isn't that much of an issue.

You're probably right. Sorry...bad day...my 17 year old son had to have elbow surgery from a skateboarding accident at 6 am.

Woah that sucks man, hope he's ok, worst thing I've ever done to myself is grazing and bruising the hell out of my right arm back and knees going a bit over 20 down a pretty rough tarmac road... worst thing I've done to myself so far anyway

Well although the dispersion narrows in the higher midrange and treble it's still a damn sight better than a 4x10", 4x12" or 8x10". And indeed those who are likely to go for it over the Big One are more likely to be into those thicker mellower sounds which don't rely so much on the higher frequency output so less than perfect dispersion up there isn't much of an issue.

Ouch! Well thanks bro...he's doing OK but he's really pissed about being in pain and is having a big problem doing what they tell him to do. I think he'll mellow out a little in a day or two...just hope he doesn't damage himself in the meantime.
