I'm looking for Bill Fitz, Greenboy, and other standouts of the 3-way cab revolution to explain to me the science behind how a 3 way cab (such as one based of the fEARful 15/6) has the ability to hold its own with a similarly built 4x10. Based on my basic knowledge of "more speaker area= more volume" how do these cabs push the same amount of air and volume?
