Hey! I'm new here, just joined! And I really hope I learn alot here and have fun ^^

I got a bass guitar but I don't know how to play yet....now the guy who can learn me play's really good bass! And i mean real good...but he tought himself, he says he heard there is chords for bass but he doesn't know a single one, but he's totaly amazing with his bass! Now He doesn't really have time to teach me from start and I would really like to start learning, so I hope I can like get info here...

I've tried to get books on how to play bass, enc. but The only place so far is over the net and my parents don't like to buy over the net! So I hope really I can get help here!
