HH amps.

I have just this second been given one of these combos. No guitar leads on me though so i cant play the bugger :-(

Anyone tell me if they are good?

ALSO (My main question) It Says 4 to 15ohm output, i thought that was a bit strange, only seen 16 ohm guitar cabs? it has 2 speakers, so will they be putting out 8ohm? so i can put another 8ohm cab with it? (has 2 output's you see)

Says nothing about the speagers anywhere on the combo.

In the old days back when people could read other things like model numbers?, people where less scared of fractions. So 15 ohms was standard and half that was 7 1/2, we also had 3 ohm loudspeakers too
and horn compression drivers were sometimes 24 ohms and WEM cabs where 12 ohms.
And HH amps had things like VS musician 100 and other strange hieroglyphics written on them.

As Bassmec says but he's forgotten it was actually 3.75Ω. H&H had a run of popularity starting in the late sixties. It would help if you posted a picture or something illuminating such as the model number. Most of the H&H amps I knew off developed their maximum power into 4Ω, well actually 3.75Ω.

On a visit back to the UK a few years ago I picked up an IC100. It was not as good an amp as I remembered. I still do love the looks though.

The only musician I ever saw use HH amps was Steve Hackett, but given he is an amazing guitarist with great tone, I'd say you were just given a nice amp.

I've been curious about these lately, too. Client pictures from the Axess-Electronics site show Tim Mahoney of 311 and Eddie VanHalen using HH power amps in their guitar rigs.
