hi and regards to all :)

my names Dave i live in St Helens merseyside England.
Played 2nd guitar in a band many moons ago 80s-90s
mainly cover stuff led zepp/steely dan/ac-dc/thin lizzy etc.
mainly pubs and support bands stuff,
we played the local clubs all over the north west
but toned it down for them :)
got back with a couple of my band members recently
and got my love of playing live back
i went on bass as original bass player left and i volunteered
so i found bass is not as easy as i thought.
only been playing 3 months and I've accrued
a 70s squier classic vibe p bass a squier vintage modified jazz
and latest an epiphone thunderbird with bartolini bridge pup
and hipshot bridge, i got the bird in bits fret levelling polishing
and changing the damned belt button position :)
it'll be nice to bounce a few things around in here as i continue
to learn the nuances of bass playing tbh really enjoying it.
regards to all.

Welcome aboard! Bass is not as easy as it seems to everyone but it is great fun! You'll find most people don't know what you're doing until you're not doing it and what gets people on the dance floor and keeps them there is you!

Have Fun!
cheers tin yes i can see what you mean!
trying to follow martin turner out of wishbone ash its a freakin nightmare :)
but yes really enjoying it.
thanks for your welcome:thumbsup: i'm sure i have a lot to learn about the forums and bass in particular

Right O. Welcome and welcome to the other life. The rhythm section creates context, Bass is fundamental in its shaping. Things closed down there to?
cheers Style! I get bass is fundamental i just never saw it that way until i decided to learn it and work with our drummer its a whole new world for me and i'm revitalized so to speak
thanks for the welcome.
