Hi, I'm new

Hi everyone! I'm looking to step outside my viola (10 years) and keyboard (off and on for 5 years). I was in the process of learning acoustic, when my guitar "disappeared". I've been curious about bass for decades, since watching my brother play.

What would be a good starting point?

Thank you for any tips and suggestions :)

I have a Yamaha P bass that cost $350 it does everything I ask it to do. A Fender Rumble practice amp of 15 watts for $100 will do what you need until you start gigging.

You may have these items;
Electronic tuner. $35.
Music stand. $15.
The book Electric Bass for Dummies. $20
And a case or bag when you start playing out. $35 - $100.

Good luck.
