Hi! need some help with flats for my Rivoli

hi!

im new here, hope to learn from u guys...

im looking for flatwounds for my 67 rivoli (short scale), but im not sure what i need, i want very thick flats say like 0.55 or more, but not black nylons...
need something very thumpy...

any tips?

If you want a real round and thumpy tone the labellas are great on those basses. I would love to hear the Sadowsky flats on that bass myself, a bit more growly than the LaBellas, but with a similar voice.

A friend has one with Chromes on it that I've played a few times, they sounded great as well.

I think Pyramid flats would be superb as well, based on the way I've heard them on other hollowbodies.
