Long time lurker who decided to join some time ago, and finally got around to it.
History: started with guitar after a family loss and needed to do something new with my life. My fingers are rather stiff and slow and it's hard to form chords, so I switched to the bass and haven't looked back. I play in the local School of Rock adult program, which has been a big help.
Gear: as you can tell, my main is a new Rick 4003 mapleglo. I've got some from Fender, Ibanez, Schecter and Epiphone (the GAS was voluminous for a while, but I wanted gear that could cover a multitude of sounds and genres). I've got a combo Ampeg and a cab/head Portaflex that covers all the bases (no pun intended, but there it sits).
Music: long-time lover of prog but listen to a bunch - jazz, classic rock, older C&W, some harder stuff, and a bit of classical.
Style: more like "mucking around until something works".
So it's nice to be here; I've picked up a bunch of advice and information, and in closing... carrots.
